Clear guardrails

We follow straightforward rules to keep the use of AI controlled and auditable:

• Understand before adopting. Nothing reaches production unless we can explain and defend it ourselves.
• Data minimisation first. Confidential information and sensitive code remain where they belong.
• Verify instead of trusting. Generated results undergo the same tests and reviews as any other code.
• Security requires judgement. Validation, permissions and dependencies are deliberate engineering decisions, not machine defaults.

Our clients should understand how their software is created. We communicate openly about where AI supports delivery and where we deliberately avoid it. Our standard remains unchanged: tested, maintainable and traceable software that we are prepared to stand behind.

Used well, AI supports each of them by reducing unnecessary effort, accelerating feedback and creating more time for the work people do best. Used poorly, it puts those same outcomes at risk.
